Steve Snyder - Duty To Remember

Steve Snyder is a graduate of UCLA and retired from Vision Service Plan after a career working in sales and sales management. He then began his quest to learn more about the WW II experiences of his father, pilot Howard Snyder, and the crew of the B-17 bomber plane, Susan Ruth. It resulted in his book, Shot Down, which has received 25 book awards and counting.

Steve is past president of the 306th Bomb Group Historical Association and keeps busy making presentations and attending air shows around the country signing copies of his book. Steve speaks to many organizations and attends air shows all over the U.S. signing copies of his book.

Steve has been to Belgium five times and as mentioned, he interviewed 95 year old Hans Berger, the German Luftwaffe pilot who shot down his own dad’s plane, for the book.
