Been away building new call centers. I am pleased to say we are well up and running strong.

One center focuses solely on contacting business owners and executives for the purposes of generating an interested lead or actual appointment. These calling agents are well educated, and some with insurance and/or securities licenses. Several of our clients here are Fortune 500.

Our other center focuses on responding to individual requests for a competitive or free quote for their service needs. Examples of leads provided here are:

Anything referring to Senior needs: Diabetic, mobility, sleep apnea, catheter, medicare supplement, final expense, prescription benefit, medical alert, back brace, etc.

Homeowner: Security, home improvement, and home warranty.

Lastly, individual health and life insurance quotes, and those that want to get out of their Timeshare.

Quite a full roster.

In a nutshell: We help businesses achieve more business through our lead generation and appointment setting services; and we help individuals find needed services, or lower their costs of existing services.

All in all, we are doing our part to grow the American economy, and supply jobs to Americans on full and part time basis.

In a glib world, anyone could sell anything, but the only problem is, that type of salesmanship doesn’t last long, does it? Some people know this as the “used car salesmanship” in making people buy something they really don’t want.

So why do it at all? Why bother? Why spend all that energy to take/steal/trick someone out of a few bucks? Surely that is not going to make anyone rich.

Why not spend that energy finding what your public really and truly want, and then give that to them?

It sounds hard at first; really hard. But in the long run, it’s easy; really easy.

When my company is hired to generate a lead for a business, we really generate a valuable lead. This means that the prospect is interested. I train my people to not accept a “maybe” or anything like that. A prospect needs to give us a hard “yes” or “no” in order for us to treat it as a lead, or not. If we get a comment or a maybe, then that’s time for a little discourse on the benefit of the product or service we are talking about. I tell my guys to stop at the first “no.” We are not in the business of twisting people’s arms. If the prospect doesn’t want it, what makes us think that our client will? So few companies have that philosophy in my travels that it’s scary.

What joy it is for our clients to have 100% interested leads in whatever their product or service is! Quite a statement, I know. I have yet to hear of another company that does something like this, and it doesn’t mean that they don’t exist, but they are rare. When you find a company like this, there is one thing you will find common in them: They are all very successful with a thriving client base.

So no matter your business: You’ll be successful by helping the prospect benefit from your product or service, and have a future at it, versus twisting arms to get a fast sale.

Look towards your future in your decisions and you will prosper better.

More information on how to get and treat customers in The Black Book of Sales Secrets and learn easy sales techniques.

If you want to practice and hone your sales techniques, and improve your ability on a rapid basis, here’s a sure-fire method: I had an art store for a number of years and had a great experience grooming my sales techniques with literally 1000s of customers, face to face.

You can do this even if you have a good paying job and do not want to leave it. Can you put some hours in on the weekend? The weekends are some of the busiest days in the shopping malls, and from my past experience, retail stores are always looking for extra help; and the regular help is always looking for an excuse to take the weekend off.

It’s worth a shot. Get a job for a day or so a week and get used to working and meeting a large amount of people. That should hone your confront of people, and improve your sales ability in a short time.

My book will help you also as it contains Easy Sales Techniques: The Black Book of Sales Secrets.

If you have such experience, please help share it with our readers and leave a comment.

Thanks.

I ran into a discussion yesterday about salespeople where some people had a bad experienced and generalized about all salespeople everywhere. Has this happened to you?

There are indeed some interesting characters out there giving a bad rap to the art of sales. But this is not “everyone.” It is usually a specific individual bent on the greed of the sale. Despite this, salespeople are the main cog in the movement of production through our economies. Without salespeople, we would not have a smidgen of the goodies and luxuries we have today. The economy would stall and collapse without good salespeople. Like a clock, there are many moving parts to bolster our economy, and the salesperson is a vital component of that.

There is a right way to represent a product and help someone get that product. It can be done, and it makes for better relationships and easier sales. We all need salespeople, and the companies we work for would not exist without them. So what’s the fine line to make a good salesperson?

To sum it up it is caring, and the responsibility to ensure the prospect gets a good product at a good price that is the backbone of a good salesperson. Having that in place makes everyone win, and everyone happy. The salesperson gets his commission, the customer gets his product or service at a good price, the company continues to grow and is able to provide more products and services to more customers. Everyone wins.

A full detail of the basics of good salesmanship can be found in The Black Book of Sales Secrets. Following these points, one can avoid the trappings of bad salesmanship. Doing so, only strengthens the ability of that salesman, helps his or her company continue to grow, and builds a growing and happy customer base for the salesman for future sales and referrals. Wouldn’t that be nice? Check it out.

If not, can you imagine that feeling of just drifting along, not knowing where you are going, nor when you will touch ground again? It’s fun at first, isn’t it? It can be a nice feeling to let someone or something else control you for a bit. But I do bet that you won’t be able to catch a show on time, or dinner. There is no prediction when you will ever touch ground, right?

Now, let’s take a train as the opposite. There is a track, and the train knows precisely where it is going to go next. Even if it runs out of power, one can still walk the track to the next destination, right?

Sometimes it is more important to get there, to arrive at one’s destination, as opposed to how fast one gets there. The track train surely does the job for either option. You can be assured that eventually you will get to your destination.

This is life in both vectors. You can let the boat float you along. Or you can walk or drive on the track to your next destination. Your call.

There is a lot of fun in attaining something important. See my earlier blog about some of my accomplishments. There is a satisfaction that no one can take away.

There are a number of drills and exercises on how to work out your purpose, in my bestselling book, The Black Book of Sales Secrets. This book is just more than a pretty face of easy sales techniques or a clever book cover full of symbology. Using one ingredient helped one person go from near failing in class, to a B grade (earlier blog).

So enjoy floating in your boat. It’s fun. However, at some point, lay down the tracks of what you want out of life and start on that journey. Whether you crawl, walk, or take a high speed train, you will eventually get there and have a lot of fun.

There’s much more about this in The Black Book of Sales Secrets and how to work out your purpose, and how to lay down those tracks in concrete so that weather doesn’t bother them. Unless there’s a major catastrophe, those train tracks are still there rain or shine. Isn’t that right?

Enjoy your journey.

As many of you know, I cover this information in my bestselling book. Here are some recent accomplishments of mine to show you:

In the past 4 1/2 years I took multiple junior college and university classes on a non stop basis. I took 2-5 classes at a time, accomplished straight A’s in all my classes, and graduated Summa Cum Laude (4.0 GPA); a feat that less than 1% of my graduating class of nearly 700 people acquired. I achieved my degree in Business Administration.

In the last year, while taking my challenging classes, I launched a new thriving lead generation and employee outsourcing business. I wrote a bestselling book on Easy Sales Techniques: The Black Book of Sales Secrets. I produced a popular song, Flying. Lastly, I launched a debt buying business.

During this time, I attended important extended-family functions, caught a number of movies, and spent time with my wife and best friend of 19 years.

If you think only I can do that: I helped a student stick it out in class using only one of the principles in my new book. From poor grades at the beginning, this person graduated with a B! Not too shabby, considering this student was going to drop out before receiving my assistance.

There is a lot more in my bestselling book, The Black Book of Sales Secrets. It is much more than just easy sales techniques. Apply the information and find that you can Accomplish What you Want!

You Can Do It!

The focus remains on large corporations to create jobs through technology as a measure of restarting the economy and putting people back into jobs. The pure focus on accommodating large corporations alone leaves the issues unsolved that are facing small to medium-sized businesses. These large corporations once started as small businesses that grew to dominate in their respected fields. Had it not been for an atmosphere that supported and nurtured small to medium-sized businesses, these giants such as Google and Intel, among others, would have found it difficult to grow into large corporations and achieve their size and share of the market as they do today. Temping agencies are helpful to accomplish that purpose.

To turn a blind eye at small to medium-sized businesses that are responsible for employing a large workforce is counterproductive in the effort to reduce unemployment, create jobs, and helps foster a climate that supports these struggling businesses in the midst of an economic downturn. Crippling legislation such as the 1099 Tax reporting requirement, ObamaCare, and increased bargaining powers for labor unions makes it difficult for businesses to survive.

In the face of high unemployment and a shaky economy, one would think that the lawmakers would focus on legislation that helps these institutions nurture and grow, instead of crushing them at inception with these regulations and mandates.

“As a measure of combating difficulties faced by these small institutions, Trent Weston formulated a solution for small to medium-sized businesses,” says Tony Durso, CEO. “In the past, temping agencies provided flexible staffing for various businesses. Today, Trent Weston in an innovative temping agency that caters to clients that are facing the reality of either closing their business or reducing their size on a global scale. This is the reality faced by most small to medium-sized businesses presumably unbeknown to the experts in Washington. Adding burdens on businesses, such as the 1099 tax reporting requirement (which thankfully got repealed) and the burdens of ObamaCare, is proving to choke the very essence that turns the wheels of this nation: Small to medium-sized businesses.”

American businesses are forced to explore creative and alternate options to remain viable. Trent Weston is one company addressing the needs of these businesses to stay in business for a long time in the future by providing these alternate choices: Outsource employees for various back office tasks from loan processing, virtual assistants, web design, etc., that would normally be done by in-house employees. By using outsourced employees at less than half the U.S. cost, American businesses are able to use their precious resources to expand and grow. Trent Weston allows American businesses to hire employees on a month-to-month basis depending on their needs and fluctuations in business. This flexibility is attractive on many levels for their clients because the U.S. business is not bound to keep an employee on payroll when business is slow or when cash is needed elsewhere; they save on having to pay for disability and unemployment insurances; they save on having to comply with upcoming crippling mandates such as health insurance; and they save on other benefits that they have to provide in order to attract competent employees.

This new breed of temping agency is proving to be an attractive option for U.S. small to medium-sized businesses and since their launch Trent Weston is regularly solicited for new and prospective businesses that want to switch to Trent Weston’s affordable outsourced employee services. Although this is good news for a business such as Trent Weston, it is a testament of how business-unfriendly the environment in the U.S. has become in recent years. We have seen the trend of large businesses off-shoring their services and now small to medium-sized businesses are following suit for customized needs.

To get a better perspective and scope of what services a temping agency can provide for small to medium-sized U.S. businesses please go to www.TrentWeston.com.

If you have a small or medium size business, this should be of interest.

Team Destiny MMA (Mixed Martial Arts aka Cage Fighting) is a successful martial arts company with multiple gold medals and prestigious fight wins. Two of their fighters are filming matches next week for Punch TV (80 million viewers). If all goes well, Team Destiny MMA will return for more matches in March.

I was cautious about working with such a concept (fighting) until I met the people and fighters. They are some of the nicest people I’ve met and have become my good friends as well. There is something about this subject that makes the fighters humble and fun to be around. For those of you who are fighters out there, you know what I mean.

There is something about this sport that builds character. I think it is because the fighter learns to respect people and treat them with dignity. That makes this a cause worth supporting.

Also, on April 10, Randy Romero is scheduled to fight at the International Fight Showdown at the Pico Rivera Sports Arena in California. This fight will be live stream on the Internet. There are more fights planned this year. The above is just the start.

Team Destiny MMA needs a few more sponsors to produce 100 shirts with sponsor logo’s on them. Space is limited. For $100 you can get your business logo on the fighter’s clothing, and banners (depending on your timing). They only need $500 left for this last round of clothing.

Help them, and get a lot of exposure for your business.

This is a time sensitive offer. Contact me for further details and I will put you directly in touch with Team Destiny MMA.

I am taking a finance management class, and the first two sentences in the book clearly explain why we are in financial crisis and recession with high inflation rates.

Simple actually, and you all know the answer:

Corporations base themselves upon one word and only one word: Wealth. The more that is acquired, the more money stockholders, the board and executives make.

If insufficient wealth is generated, then the executives are replaced. Simple. And who wants that?

Shades of gray become darker and darker until major scandals unfold-Enron, MCI, Andersen, etc.-all in the effort to make more money. Cutthroat indeed.

Financial crisis, higher inflation rates, recession…all push to get into first place. It becomes the most intricate and complex juggling act of the universe to keep everything in check…(virtually impossible).

Why does it happen? They think there is a shortage and try to hoard as much as they can.

I believe, there is plenty for everyone in the world. There is plenty of money. There is plenty of food. There are plenty of basic essentials. (Take a geology class and you’ll get it right away.)

I think there is enough for everyone in the world, except for the greedy.

Take your share. Live your life. Make and spend all you want. But leave some for others.

You can learn to sell good products and services in your business or company and make a great living at it. You can read more about that in my new book, The Black Book of Sales Secrets.
